Confidence has a scent

There is a precise moment — just before entering the meeting room, just before saying yes, just before stepping on stage — when we look for something to hold on to. For many of us, it is a gesture: two drops of oil on the inside of the wrist.

This is not superstition. Neuroscience confirms it: smell is the only sense wired directly to emotional memory. A chosen scent becomes an anchor — it reminds the body who it is, at the moment it needs it most.
